Hey, nice to see you.
Nowadays there are more and more shops that have already completely banish the plastic bag and that is the right way. In order to do the same, a fabric tote bag is a great alternative.
I would like to show you how to beautify your tote bag. To make it a one of a kind shopping bag and a real eye-catcher.
What you will need:
(this list includes partner-links. That means if you purchase a product I will earn a small commission, with no extra cost for you)
- canvas tote bag (16-3/4 x 17-1/2 )
- cardboard as padding
- pattern
- sharpie or fabric pen
- pencil
First, put the cardboard into the bag as padding, which prevents the color from showing on the back of the bag. Put the pattern onto the cardboard, you should see the pattern well through the fabric. Now you can begin to trace the contours with a pencil onto the fabric.
Tip: Test your sharpie on an inconspicuous place, because some felt tips may run on the fabric.
This canvas tote bag can be reused again and again and fits well into a purse or into the glove compartment.
And here are some great examples of the solar effect I created on my bags:

Nice idea. In some states in Australia we don’t use plastic bags at all. I always use reusable bags.
