DIY Halloween string lights

Halloween is just around the corner, that means, it’s the best time to create these DIY Halloween lights. It’s super easy and I already had all the materials at home.

I’m glad to finally found a use for these plastic coffee k-cups, instead of throwing them into the trash.

Cut the empty and washed out coffee k-cups and ping pong balls cross-shaped with the cutter knife and draw on them with a sharpie. The ping pong balls are already orange, which goes perfectly with pumpkins and the white coffee k-cups are perfect as little ghosts.

Then simply put the coffee k-cups and ping pong balls over the individual lamps. It’s best to use a LED light string, as the conventional string lights can develop heat and are more efficient.

And done!

I hope you liked my instructions and I could give you some ideas and inspirations. I am looking forward reading your comments or receiving pictures of your own creations.

See you soon.

  1. This looks like it is pretty simple, but very festive! Thanks for breaking down the steps so that I can start decorating this fall season. 🙂
