For our ‘Halloween meets Oktoberfest’ Party last year, my husband and I created a bloody Halloween photo booth backdrop. So we could take some cool pics with our friends.
What you will need:
- an old white bed sheet or some white curtains (if you’re using curtains, you may also need a curtain rod)
- fake blood (you can also make some DIY fake blood, see instructions below)
- empty bowl for mixing the fake blood
- gloves
- paint brush
- carton or foil to cover furniture and floors
Recipe for DIY fake blood:
Now you can start with the fake blood. It shouldn’t be too thick so that it can run down the sheet or curtain a little.
Now the fun part, the painting and splattering with the fake blood, it’s best to wear gloves for that. There are no limits, you can paint with a paint brush or just use your fingers. I like some handprints and some blood running down. You can also just dip your fingers into the fake blood and splash it onto the photo booth backdrop. I also added, “you’re next” to it.
After that, just let the fake blood dry and your Halloween photo booth backdrop is done!
Photo booth background accessories
To get some really funny or spooky picture with your friends, you can lay out some accessories like a plastic knife, Halloween masks or wigs. You could also make some DIY accessories.
