I bought this Laminator a couple of weeks ago and I must say, it’s really fun laminating things and creating awesome DIY crafts. I’ve got a lot of great lamination craft ideas, so there will be more pretty laminating DIY’s soon.
So, how about a cute heart shaped DIY laminated lantern.
What you will need:

For this DIY laminated lantern, I decided on these pretty heart napkins, which I have already used for several projects. I think it’s perfect for Valentine’s Day.
As first step, I cut the napkin and separated it into the individual layers. Next, I placed the top layer in a laminating pouch and heated the laminator.
Tip: The thinner the material to be laminated, the better the lamination will work.
When the laminator is ready, insert the laminating pouch and let it run through once.
The whole thing has to be done a second time to get 2 laminated napkins. These are then cut to size, just leave a thin edge around the napkin (otherwise the pouch will unfold again).
Now the 2 laminated sheets are getting 4 holes on each side. I turned them both with the printed side against each other.
In order to form the heart, the 2 sheets lying with the printed page on to each other getting knotted on one side with the ribbon.
Now the sheets are getting unfolded and held together on the other side and getting also knotted there.
Tip: It helps to hold the heart in place with a paper clip while knotting
This is how the heart shape is created. Now just place a string light or a few LED tealights inside the heart and done! (I wouldn’t use real candles because the laminated pouch could melt, so the LED versions are much safer.)
Voila!
The 2 little hearts were stapled instead of punched and knotted with ribbon. This is another version to easily form a heart.

I hope my instructions were helpful and I could give you some ideas and inspirations. I am looking forward reading your comments or receiving pictures of your own creations.
Happy Valentine’s Day
hope to see you again soon.
