DIY Wood Sign

How to easily transfer a font to a wooden board to create a great sign.

What you need:

  • a wooden board (this one is already painted gray)
  • the pattern you would like for your sign
  • a white pencil or a nail whitening pen
  • pen
  • a white sharpie or felt-tip

You start by coloring the back of your printed pattern with the white pencil. Make sure you are whitening the entire area of the printed letters.

When you finished coloring the back of your paper, turn it back over and place it on your wooden board. If it’s centered or placed in the desired position, you can start coloring the letters with a pen, a pencil also works. Now the white color get’s transferred to the wood.

If you’re done coloring the letters with the pen, you can remove the pattern and the font has been completely transferred onto the wood.

Now you can start painting the letters with the white sharpie or felt-tip.

I hope my instructions were helpful and I could give you some ideas and inspirations. I am looking forward reading your comments or receiving pictures of your own creations.

I hope to see you again soon.
