Do you like penguins too? Then why not craft a cute penguin lamp? If you feel the same way, then I will show you how to build one.
How to build a cute penguin lamp.
What you will need:
- plywood sheet 1/8″ sheet 1/8″
- pattern
- pencil
- band saw
- wood glue
- lamp socket
- cardboard (for the nose)
- hot glue
- acrylic paint white, black and orange
- paint brush
- black sharpie
First transfer the pattern onto the plywood sheet and cut it out.
  Â
In addition, the lamp needs a support on the back, so it can’t fall over. The reinforcement can be simply glued to the back.
  Â
After everything is dry, the lamp socket can be fixed to the back.
My husband and I came up with the idea of putting a nose out of cardboard onto the penguin’s face and cutting out a hole behind the cardboard nose, so the light could shine through the hole. The nose was simply glued to the wood with hot glue.
After that, you can start painting the penguin. I cut the pattern into the separate parts of the penguin to draw the eyes and the line between the white and black part and the feet onto the wood.
Tip: I cut the pattern into the separate parts of the penguin to draw the eyes and the line between the white and black part and the feet with a pencil onto the wood.
Tip: Draw the eyes and outline between the black and white paint with a black sharpie, this will give a clean contour.
Done!
